We believe in the strength of the individual to control his or her life. We believe that there is strength in sharing, and that no one has to be a victim. You can be safe in this uncertain world, and you don't have to think of yourself as weak or vulnerable.
We here at Revolution Earth Press are looking for ways to help you achieve your own self-empowerment. We believe that women can be strong individuals, and don't have to be at the mercy of every person larger or stronger than herself. We believe that minorities can be everything that anyone in the majority can be, and deserve the dignity to achieve it without feeling like beggars. And we believe that no one deserves to be mistreated or "bashed" for something they are, and cannot control.
Revolution Earth Press provides for your education newsletters, discussion groups, and e-books geared to the empowerment of the spirit and the strengthening of the individual. We believe everyone has the right to feel safe and strong and secure, and we are starting off with a controversial subject: Gun ownership.
Revolution Earth Press has been asked to take on the vast honor of producing the newsletter for the Pennsylvania region for the Second Amendment Sisters, Inc., one of the foremost defenders of the Constitutional right to bear arms in the United States, and a champion of self-defense for women.
This newsletter is currently only available for members of the Second Amendment Sisters. There will be a link to the SAS page for it here soon.
The past 10 months have been very interesting and instructive. I've had a lot of fun doing Household Gunowners' Digest, but the time has come to admit that it has not performed as I had hoped it would, and to move on.
After nearly a year of operation, I have less than 200 subscribers. While this sounds like a lot, it isn't. I appreciate each and every one of you, but my hopes were to have ten times this number by the one-year point, and it hasn't happened. It was also my hope to have submissions from others to help me produce the newsletter, but those have been extremely sparse.
To date, I have had exactly one submission that I did not personally solicit, and it was not a topic I could readily use, as it was better suited to a police-oriented publication. The other submissions were deeply appreciated, but I cannot spend my time chasing down submissions each month, nor can I produce every bit of content on my own. The effort was draining me, and not producing the result I had hoped.
It was enjoyable, and I found great pride in producing a quality piece of work that some of you found a moment to tell me you appreciated. To those readers, I give an extra measure of heartfelt thanks.
So what will become of Household Gunowners' Digest? Well, I will be moving the archives to the Revolution Earth Press website as soon as possible, something I have been lax at doing in the past few months. I will probably not convert them to the large number of formats I had previously used, though, for lack of time.
HGD will be ending, but I will not be fading into obscurity. The Range Bag will still be venting her spleen, just in different venues. I have started up a website for myself, www.TheRangeBag.com, where I will maintain a running archive of my op-ed articles into the future. I also have something else I'm going to be doing -- the Pennsylvania state Newsletter for the 2nd Amendment Sisters! So I won't be fading into the sunset. This is a step up.
It has been fun. Please be well, be safe, and keep your powder dry.
